Covenant Contract Management Services currently has an opening for the following position:
Government Contract Manager
A mid-level working supervisor responsible for writing and managing multiple federal government contracts on behalf of industry providers. The contract manager is responsible for:
- Researching and analyzing information from multiple commercial and government sources in order to provide recommendations, determine conclusions, and select best courses of action for incorporation into government solicitation proposals.
- Write and manage government proposals for presentation of commercial goods and services.
- Provide administrative oversight of awarded government contracts. Coordinate and answer questions, write changes and take necessary steps to ensure contractual requirements are met and processed expeditiously.
- Prepare and process quarterly government sales reports for industry providers.
- Maintain contact between commercial clients and various government agencies.
- Gather information to assist clientele with possible expansion of new sales opportunities within various government agencies.
- Provide consultation and assistance as contract changes or modifications occur.
- Locate and provide various government documents, publications, etc.
- Prepare and process product information using government's e-commerce computer import program.
- Provide administrative support for designing, printing, collating, packaging and distribution of marketing materials and customer contacts within the federal government.
Qualifications: A working knowledge of government agencies, contracting, logistics, and/or procurement. Individual must be a self-starter, able to multi-task, and have good verbal and writing skills.
Desirable background/skills: Government contracting; working knowledge of government agencies. A basic understanding of commercial services, manufacturing, and sales would be helpful.
Computer experience needed: Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and functional use of Internet for research.
Other: Individual will be called upon for periodic overnight travel. Approximate 40 hr. work week. Position is based in St. Louis, MO.
